The 904L pipeline project produced by our company has been successfully delivered recently, opening a new page in the development of engineering projects.
904L (00Cr20Ni25Mo4.5Cu; UNS: N08904; EN: 1.4539) is a high alloy austenitic stainless steel with low carbon content. It has good corrosion resistance in dilute sulfuric acid and is designed for environments with harsh corrosion conditions. With a high chromium content and sufficient nickel content, the addition of copper gives it strong acid resistance, especially to chloride interstitial corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, making it highly resistant to corrosion spots and cracks. Its resistance to pitting corrosion is slightly better than other steel grades, and it has good processability and weldability. 904L stainless steel flanges are widely used in industries such as petrochemicals, flue gas desulfurization equipment, and organic acid treatment.
The size of the 904L flange produced this time is DN800-DN1400, which is a foreign chemical project project. The completion time of the project is relatively short (more than 140 flanges are produced and welded within 60 days). The flange manufacturing process includes steel ingot sawing, preheating, billet making, rolling, heat treatment, rough turning, flaw detection, precision turning, inspection and packaging, pipeline and flange welding, and weld detection. Finally, through coordinating various production processes, the delivery was smooth, which also shows that our company has made great progress in undertaking pipeline engineering projects and has the ability to undertake some pipeline engineering.
904L can produce various types of forgings in addition to flanges, as well as process and deliver according to drawings.
