In addition to solid solution delivery, austenitic stainless steel and super austenitic stainless steel materials also have a solid solution cold drawn delivery state. XM-19 austenitic materials can also achieve high-strength performance requirements through cold processing. In the ASTM A276 material standard, the cold drawn specification below Φ 50.8 requires a tensile strength of ≥ 930Mpa, a yield strength of ≥ 725Mpa, an elongation of ≥ 20%, and a cross-sectional shrinkage of ≥ 50%.

 

The material of high-strength XM-19 has certain difficulties in the production process. It is best to adjust the chemical composition while meeting the standard composition. Secondly, attention should be paid to the drawing amount and number of times in the production process, otherwise it is easy to yield or elongate unqualified. At the same time, after cold processing, the material has high strength and is also prone to insufficient straightness. These situations should be noted in the production process to avoid increasing production costs due to unqualified situations.

The XM-19 material after cold processing has high strength, high hardness, good plasticity and toughness. The average AKV impact test value in a low temperature environment of minus 18 degrees Celsius also reaches 170J. At the same time, the material also has excellent corrosion resistance. Even without cold working treatment, the strength and hardness of this stainless steel are higher than traditional austenitic stainless steel, while its plasticity and toughness are comparable to traditional ferritic stainless steel. In addition, XM-19 high-strength duplex stainless steel also has excellent corrosion resistance, which can resist the erosion of many corrosive media such as strong acids, strong alkalis, and salts. Its corrosion resistance even surpasses 316L and 317L stainless steel. This feature makes XM-19 an ideal choice for valve systems that handle corrosive media such as acids, bases, salt solutions, etc. Whether in the marine environment, chemical production, or food processing industry, XM-19 stainless steel can effectively resist corrosion erosion, extend equipment service life, and reduce maintenance costs.

 

It is worth noting that XM-19 stainless steel remains non-magnetic even after strict cold treatment, which is particularly important for applications that require avoiding magnetic interference, such as electronics, medical equipment, etc. (XM-19 materials after cold processing also have no magnetism). In addition, its physical properties can remain stable at both high and low temperatures, ensuring normal operation at every operating temperature without worrying about significant changes in material properties due to temperature fluctuations.

After cold processing, XM-19 round steel undergoes deep hole machining on the product, with inner hole diameters of Φ 9mm and Φ 22mm, inner hole roughness Ra6.4, and inner hole tolerance ± 0.5mm, all of which meet customer requirements.
